What to Expect After Signing Your Contract
At Stormguard Roofing & Exteriors, our goal is to make your roofing experience simple, transparent, and stress-free from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect once your project is scheduled with us:
1. Scheduling & Material Delivery
Once your contract is signed, materials are ordered and delivered to your roof or driveway. Our scheduling team will then confirm your installation date and review the next steps with you.
2. Job Site Preparation
On installation day, our crew arrives early to set up safety equipment and protect your property.We cover your landscaping, decks, and walkways with tarps to ensure your property stays clean and protected throughout the project.
3. Roof Tear-Off & Clean-Up
Our team removes all old roofing materials, safely collects debris on tarps if needed, and cleans the area. Once the tear-off is done, we prep a smooth surface and clear your gutters for installation.
4. Underlayment Installation
Next, we install a GAF WeatherWatch® or StormGuard® leak barrier around eaves and valleys for maximum ice and water protection, followed by GAF FeltBuster® or DeckArmor™ underlayment for added ventilation and durability.
5. Valley & Starter Shingle Installation
If new metal valleys are required, they’re installed at this stage. Then we apply GAF Pro-Start® starter shingles along the eaves to create a strong, wind-resistant foundation for the main shingles.
6. Shingle Installation
We install your GAF Timberline® HDZ or UHDZ shingles with the 6-nail system for maximum wind protection, add ridge ventilation if selected, and seal all vents with waterproof protection.
7. Ridge Cap Installation & Final Details
We finish your roof with GAF Seal-A-Ridge® or Timbertex® caps and maintain continuous cleanup to keep your property debris-free.
8. Final Inspection & Cleanup
After installation, we clean up thoroughly and ensure your property is spotless. The crew manager confirms your satisfaction and collects final payment. Within the week, a roof inspector returns to verify quality and completion.
9. Final Documentation
Within the following week, you’ll receive your final invoice and GAF warranty registration by email.
Gutters, Siding, Fascia & Soffits
If you’re replacing gutters, siding, fascia, or soffits with your new roof, our team handles everything — usually within a week — for a seamless, lasting finish.
